EYP Serbia

Since 2006, the European Youth Parliament Serbia has inspired and empowered hundreds of thousands of young people to be open-minded, tolerant and active citizens. Thousands of young people are actively involved as volunteers all over Europe, making the European Youth Parliament Serbia (EYP Serbia) a genuinely youth-driven programme – run by young people, for young people.

Founded in 2006, the European Youth Parliament Serbia (EYP Serbia) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and youth-led organisation that empowers young people to become active, engaged, and informed citizens. As part of the European Youth Parliament network, one of the largest platforms for non-formal education in Europe, we connect Serbian youth with their peers across the continent to discuss pressing political, social, and cultural issues in a collaborative and inspiring environment.

What makes the EYP unique:

  • Non-Formal Education: Our programmes allow participants to learn and develop a diverse set of skills through a fully immersive social, cultural and educational programme.

  • Peer-Led: All our activities as well as the organisation and governance of the EYP network are organised for and by young Europeans.

  • Voluntary: The EYP is shaped by young volunteers with the primary purpose to create a much-needed platform for youth.

  • Diverse and Inclusive: Our programmes actively seek out young people from all social backgrounds to ensure a diverse mix of participants.

  • Active Alumni network: Through friendships and connections we create in the network, the network initiates bonds that can last for decades and have a lasting impact.

EYP Serbia creates opportunities for young individuals to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, public speaking, teamwork, and leadership through innovative educational events, such as simulations of the European Parliament. With a focus on promoting European values, intercultural understanding, and active citizenship, our work fosters meaningful connections between local communities and the broader European network.

Together, we can build a future rooted in knowledge, dialogue, and collaboration.
